Timothy studied classical viola over a 25 year span, including chamber music with Bernice Maskin of Juilliard. While at Stanford, he also pursued work in human-centered design for music applications with HCI pioneer Bill Verplank and computer music progenitor Max Mathews. His bands and electro-acoustic projects span a wide range of collaborators and mentors such as ambient avant-rock pioneers Hahn Rowe and Mimi Goese of Hugo Largo. Timothy was a founding member of Aleka’s Attic with actor River Phoenix, and launched several successful bands with Indo-rock pioneer Josh Mckay of Macha. Timothy has composed music for the stage, and acted as a producer, recording/mix engineer, and performer on several albums.
